Tarek El Moussa and Ex-Wife Christina Haacks Son Brayden Hospitalized for Emergency Appendectomy
Brayden James is on the mend
Christina El Moussa and ex-husband Tarek El Moussa's 3-year-old son is recovering after being taken to the hospital in an ambulance to treat his ruptured appendix. The couple spent Mother's Day in the hospital alongside their son.
Details on the very scary experience and the 6-year-old's surgery below.
After being admitted to the ER, Brayden had to have an emergency appendectomy as well as removal of Meckel's diverticulum early this morning, the 38-year-old Christina said on Instagram. Meckel's diverticulum is a congenital condition that occurs when a small pouch of tissue forms on the small intestine. Brayden's surgery was successful, and he is now recovering in the hospital.
Christina said that the experience was "very scary" but that she is "so grateful" that her son is okay. She also thanked the doctors and nurses who took care of Brayden.
Tarek also posted about the experience on Instagram, saying that he was "so proud" of his son for being so brave. He also thanked the medical staff for their care.
Brayden is expected to make a full recovery and is looking forward to getting back to his normal routine.
